Çare Derneği continues to meet the basic needs of thousands of earthquake victims with its ongoing relief efforts in the earthquake zone. The organization is distributing aid effectively in the region with 183 staff and volunteers, 65 aid trucks, and 48 delivery vehicles.
Çare Derneği provides food support to earthquake victims through 11 mobile kitchen vehicles, and organizes aid in the region with 7 logistics depots. On the first day, 51,000 ready-to-eat meals were distributed to those waiting at the site of the disaster, and a total of 215,000 people were reached. In addition, breakfast and hot dinner are served to families living in tent cities in Hatay and Malatya.
Immediately after the earthquake, 13,500 baby foods and 17,000 baby diapers were distributed. With these special aid packages, the needs of the smallest members of earthquake victims have not been overlooked.
Çare Derneği provided winter clothing aid to 38,100 people in the earthquake zone, ensuring that they are protected from the cold weather. In the distribution of aid, needy families were identified and registered.
Çare Derneği meets the heating needs of earthquake victims by providing 44 tons of coal and 43 tons of firewood. With the distribution of 5,200 stoves and heaters, earthquake victims are able to warm their homes on cold nights. In addition, 19,500 blankets were distributed for those living on the street or in tents.
Çare Derneği is determined to continue meeting the needs of earthquake victims and supporting them.
