2020 | Wajib Qurban Organization in Kenya

Kenya, or, by its official name, the Republic of Kenya, is located in the eastern part of the African continent. In Kenya, where 83% of the population is Christian, Islam is the second most common religion in the region with 11% of the population.

Although Kenya has better situation to reach clean water compared to other countries in Africa,, it is still experiencing serious problems in terms of education, housing and health. Only 25% of the country fully benefits from health services. There are only 7 universities in the country even though the population is 40 million. As a result, this situation is an obstacle to the development of the country.

In 2020, Care conducted qurban organization in the Mandera, Kwela and Kilifi areas in Kenya.

The Qurbans which were slaughtered in Kwela and Silala and Matano Manne areas of Klifi, were distributed to 7,000 Muslim families in need from the courtyards of mosques of almost 70 different villages and settlements in these regions.

The qurbans which were slaughtered in Garissa district were distributed to 3,600 Muslim families in Maramtu district with 18 villages in total, and 4,000 Muslim families in Kuruso district with 24 villages in total.
