France, UK and Europe have exploited Cameroon for centuries. Even though Cameroon declared independence in 1960, the colonial influence still remains. Many people speak Arabic and English in the country, although the spoken language is predominantly French.
The country has not been able to declare its independence economically. Although there are a lot of green fields in Cameroon, it doesn't mean anything in the sense of economic development because the agricultural lands belong to Europeans.
Muslims make up 20% of the country, which has a total population of about 23 million. Although there are many Christians, churches and mosques can be found side by side in the same area on the same street. Cameroon is also a country that has opened its doors to people fleeing from conflicts in countries around it.
Care Association organized Qurban activity mostly in the areas inhabited by Muslims in Kousséri, Cameroon with a population of 180 thousand, in the Lougan region, Muabbada region (a large village) and Madaman region (a large village).
The Qurban meats were distributed to approximately 15,600 needy Muslim families in the areas where the slaughter took place and in the de Veceesange area.
Aside from meat distributions, about 400 children, including orphans, were astonished with gifts and toys. There were visits to many families in the region to see what we could do here in the following years, that’s why we took notes about the problems of those families.
