2020 | Wajib Qurban Organization in Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso which is the poorest country in the Central Africa plagued by hunger, poverty and epidemic. The literacy rate in the country is very low and the number of schools is very few for Muslims who make up 65% of the population. Yet the children of Muslim families are forced to go to missionary schools.

At the same time, a number of masjids where Muslims perform their prayers in peace is very limited in the country. Care Association was in Burkina Faso to be with our brothers on the Feast of Eid in 2020.

On the first day of Eid, a total of 2,460 families were distributed qurban meats around Kouritenga region which is the poorest and most crowded neighborhood of Vagadugu, the capital of the country.

On the second day of Eid, the meats of the Qurban which were distributed in the villages of Dapelogo and Pabre districts, 30 km to the north of Vagadugu, were  given to a total of 400 Muslim families in three separate villages in the region. Another location was Manga city which is 100 km away from Vagadugu. The qurbans who were slaughtered there were distributed to 1,000 Muslim families in need from all mosques in Manga city.

On the third day of the Eid, the slaughter of qurban continued in the Karpala region of Vagadugu. The qurban slaughtered in Karpala were delivered to 1,600 Muslim families, to the Qur’an courses and tto he disabled people in the region,
