We Provided Two Weeks of Hot Meals for 300 Miners

After the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaras, many people in the region were left homeless and their lives were turned upside down. As the needs of the earthquake victims continued to grow, search and rescue efforts became even more critical. A group of miners from Tavsanli, Kutahya provided significant support by joining in the search and rescue efforts.

Miners Played an Important Role with Their Efforts

One of the most important parts of the search and rescue efforts was the work of 300 miners from the Garp Lignite Mines. We witnessed their struggles as they worked in difficult conditions with great dedication. In return for their efforts, we made sure to prepare our meals in the best possible way.

We Provided Hot Meals for 300 Miners

For two weeks, we provided hot meals for the miners every day. Search and rescue efforts were crucial to prevent an increase in the number of deaths following the earthquake. Therefore, we did our best to help the miners and keep their motivation at the highest level. Our fresh and delicious meals boosted the morale of the miners and supported their work.

Healing Our Wounds Together

As the search and rescue efforts come to an end, we are proud to have provided hot meals for 300 miners from Garp Lignite Mines. We also thank all other NGOs and volunteer team members who supported AFAD in the search and rescue efforts in the region.
