The coronavirus epidemic continues to affect our country badly. We provided food assistance to 15 families living in Tavsanlı district of Kutahya as part of the “Turkey! We Care for one another” charity campaign that has been started by Care in these difficult days.
After the increasing coronavirus cases, the entrances and exits to Ayvalı village with a population of 1,300 and the neighborhood of Beykoy with a population of 1,350 were closed in the Tavsanli district of Kutahya. These two places have been under quarantine for 14 days. The families living in these villages with low income could not go to work due to the quarantine, they requested help from the District Governor of Tavsanlı that informed us about these requests.
Tavsanlı Representatives of Care Association took action quickly by preparing 20 aid packages containing food products such as tea, sugar, flour, pasta, cooking oil, lentils and beans for the families whose address information was given.
The food packages were distributed to 15 families in the list given to us by the District Governor of Tavsanlı. Considering the social distance due to the quarantine, our team left the packages in front of door and informed them by calling on phone to avoid contact.
By staying in our home as much as possible and paying attention to our personal cleanliness, we can prevent this pandemic together that affects our lives badly.
