Adnan Mujahid Tunca, a volunteer from Care Association, had visited several Syrian families residing in Istanbul before Eid al-Adha. Tunca made a list of urgent needs by checking the current situation of these families on the spot and supported these families with shopping cheques on behalf of Care Association.
The family told us that their father was killed in Syria four or five months ago and were trying to survive with the help of neighbours. There was another neighbor with the same situation. Even during the visit, it was figured out that the family of a 17-year-old child of a neighboring Syrian family (a family with 4 orphans), who helped Adnan Tunca with translation, also needed help and a list of their urgent needs was also asked, then they were quickly supported by shopping cheques.
After overcoming busy days of the Eid al-Adha, Care Association will obtain the needs of these families such as meat, milk, cheese, food and cleaning materials that were quickly collected and delivered to them on August 27 with the help of the Volunteers of Care Association.
These relief operations which were organized by our volunteers, have reached to 4 families and 25 people.
